As a probate attorney, I have to deal with many moving parts of a decedent’s estate. One of the parts I dislike dealing with is personal property. It’s cumbersome, tedious and is requires a lot of detail to properly price items. I love working with Alex from Redlands Realty & Auction bc I have to do NOTHING. He handles everything from start to finish, including cataloging, pricing, sale and distribution, and with the utmost professionalism. I confidently recommend!

I would give him 10 stars if that was an option!! I interviewed multiple estate sales companies in the south Florida area before we decided to go with Alex for my father's large Redlands farm. And we are soooo happy we did! This was a huge auction that Alex split into two separate ones because of the volume. It included farm equipment and tools but also antique and vintage items, typical household stuff, etc. There were multiple hiccups along the way, and Alex handled them all with patience and grace. At this point, Alex knows more about our family than most of our friends - when you go the estate sale route, you are asking them to inventory the deep recesses of your attic/garage, closets and drawers. It is a fairly intimate experience. You want/need someone honest and trustworthy who will treat your items with respect. Alex definitely did! When he found items that looked to be sentimental or valuable, he made sure to ask permission before tagging them for sale. He was careful with everything. My dad enjoyed sharing the stories and history behind many of the items and Alex seemed to enjoy hearing them (hours of them most likely - haha). I was there during the last few days of Buyer Pick-Ups and was so happy to hear people thrilled with their finds since many were rare or unusual. It truly was a great experience for what was a difficult time of selling the 55-year-old family farm. Highly recommend!

Alex at Redland Realty and Auction was certainly the right person for our large estate! Very patient, detail oriented, thorough, and was quick to reply anytime we reached out. We had 10K square feet of tool sheds, home, and patio to auction. Alex stepped up to the plate and knocked it out of the park. Some days Alex would work until 9pm. We had a tight timeline and Alex made it happen. On pickup days, he placed signs around leading customers to our farm and had a "control center" setup in our garage. We had a number of people from out of state bid on and win items, showing he has wide reach! We highly recommend Alex, especially for his patience in dealing with estate situations that would typically be overwhelming to most.

My parents passed away. I figured the best way to pass on their belongings without sending them to a landfill was by auction. I contacted Redland Realty and Auction because the first place, a traditional auction house, didn’t call me back. One of the luckiest and best decisions of my life. From the time I first contacted Alex Rodriguez to the last of my parents’ belongings leaving their house was 2 months. They had a 2 story, 5 bedroom house stuffed with everything two people in their 80s could accumulate. Alex and his associate Carlos inventoried every item. I don’t know how. The auction is completely online. It took 3 weeks. There’s a description of each item, and Alex has a database that gives a suggested price range for everything. The bidding increases by $5 for items under $100 (I think), and more for more expensive stuff. In the last hour the bidding is almost nonstop. Some of the items went for more than their suggested price, a lot went for less. My parents had some nice stuff and also a lot of junk. Almost everything received a bid. Then it’s done, and over the next four days the winning bidders come by to pick up what they’ve bought. Things that require shipping are boxed and picked up. Everything stays at the house until it’s taken away. (Saves a huge amount compared to shipping and storing it in a warehouse while waiting for auction night through a traditional auction house.). Alex and Carlos are at the house distributing everything. Everyone who comes to the house has to show proof that they bought something. I never worried about theft. Four weeks after the last items were removed from the house I got a check. I can’t imagine a less stressful way to clean out a house.
